Washington, DC (December 27, 2021) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that E. John Steren and Patricia M. Wagner, Members of the Firm, have been recognized in The National Law Review’s (NLR) 2021 “Go-To Thought Leadership Awards” in the FTC Regulation category.
Mr. Steren and Ms. Wagner received the “Go-To Thought Leadership” award for their coverage of a range of competition law topics including personnel changes at the FTC and the large uptick in Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings the FTC received in 2021. “Exceptionally helpful to the NLR's readers in 2021 were Mr. Steren's & Ms. Wagner's actionable insights on how the new direction at the FTC impacts the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries,” NLR editors wrote.
With this award, NLR seeks to recognize legal authors who “contributed timely and well-thought-out legal news that were well read, regularly quoted or cited by other media” and whose quality content kept clients and prospects informed amidst the “unprecedented number of new laws, regulations and court cases related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.” Further, the publicationnotes that “[a]uthors chosen as NLR ‘Go-To Thought Leadership’ recipients not only demonstrate impressive legal knowledge and business acumen, but write with an eye towards compliance or adaptation.”
For the fourth year, NLR editors reviewed a pool of over 14,000 legal news articles published in 2021 to select only 87 exceptional authors for this award, recognizing less than 1% of contributing writers.
Mr. Steren’s and Ms. Wagner’s recurring Insight series, Antitrust Byte, provides readers with regular coverage on important antitrust counseling and defense issues affecting the health care industry. For more information, or if you have antitrust concerns, please contact Mr. Steren or Ms. Wagner.
