Washington, DC (April 21, 2020) — Epstein Becker Green (“EBG”) is pleased to announce that Carlos Montalvo was awarded the Robert D. Reif Fellowship in Legal Ethics and Professional Values (“Fellowship”) at a virtual reception held on April 23, 2020.
Epstein Becker Green created the Robert D. Reif Fellowship with the assistance of American University Washington College of Law in 2012. The mission of the Fellowship is to honor the memory of Epstein Becker Green’s longtime partner, Bob Reif, by furthering his commitment in the practice of law to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients, fellow attorneys, and the community.
After a review of essays submitted on topics involving legal ethics and professional values, the Selection Committee chose Mr. Montalvo to receive this year's Fellowship award for his paper titled, "Socially Responsible Lawyering: How ESG Investing is Shaking Up the Role of the Corporate Lawyer."
