With more than 16 years of experience, attorney Elliot Katz guides organizations across industries, as well as management teams and individuals, through the complex legal and regulatory issues related to executive compensation and employee benefits.
Clients rely on Elliot to help them design, implement, and manage a broad spectrum of compensation and benefits programs, including equity and deferred compensation plans, qualified and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, and retirement plans, such as 401(k)s, 403(b)s, and IRAs. He also advises on the intricate federal tax, accounting, ERISA, and securities implications of benefits arrangements.
Additionally, Elliot assists clients on a range of day-to-day matters. Whether it’s answering questions related to executive compensation and employee benefits issues; preparing summary plan descriptions, employee communications, public announcements, and amendments to employment agreements; or advising on corporate governance matters, Elliot provides practical solutions to complex compliance challenges.
Elliot’s experience as an employee benefits attorney also extends to transactional matters. From mergers and acquisitions to financing arrangements, he addresses employee benefits and compensation issues with meticulous attention to detail, safeguarding his clients’ interests through every stage of a deal.
Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Elliot worked as an executive compensation and employee benefits attorney in the tax practice of a national law firm and later in the corporate practice of an international law firm.
