New York, NY (April 22, 2015) — Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Ronald M. Green, Co-Founder of the firm, was honored with the 2015 Brooklyn Law School LELA (Labor and Employment Law Association) Alumni Award at a recognition dinner on April 9, 2015. Brooklyn Law School’s LELA organization presents the award annually to a member of its alumni network who has demonstrated the highest level of success in the field of labor and employment law. Kenneth G. Standard, General Counsel Emeritus and Of Counsel at EBG provided remarks. Ian Nanos, an EBG Labor and Employment Associate as well as a Brooklyn Law School alum, presented the award to Mr. Green.
“Ron has made exceptional contributions to the legal community, ranging from innovative thought leadership as an internationally renowned authority on labor and employment law to his founding of EBG’s Labor and Employment practice and his incredible trial record of successes on behalf of EBG clients,” said Carmine A. Iannaccone, Managing Director of EBG and a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice. “We could not be more proud of Ron for all he has accomplished and commend him on this well-deserved honor from Brooklyn Law School’s LELA organization.”
A skilled trial attorney of international reputation, Mr. Green represents multinational and domestic corporations; defends corporate executives and sports and entertainment luminaries, particularly in sensitive and highly publicized litigation; and advises on a wide variety of labor and employment matters.
Prior to co-founding EBG in 1973, Mr. Green gained substantial prosecutorial and labor regulatory experience while working for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and seconded to the U.S. Department of Justice. As wage and hour trial counsel and as civil rights counsel for the DOL’s Office of Contract Compliance, and thereafter as head of the Civil Rights Division, he helped author many of the agency's regulations. Mr. Green also played integral roles in the litigation and settlement of the landmark AT&T case and the Steel Industry Consent Decree.
