New York, NY (January 21, 2011) — National law firm Epstein Becker Green hosted the China Construction Bank (CCB) Delegation as part of the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies' Global Education Institute for an event entitled, "Executive Education Program on Commercial Bank Management & Strategy in the Global Financial Crisis" on Dec. 7, 2010, in New York.
The program was designed to provide the senior Chinese delegation with insight into the causes, characteristics, and consequences of the 2007-2009 global financial crisis specific to the banking industry. Epstein Becker Green provided an overview of the Firm's China Initiative, discussed compliance in the financial services industry with emphasis on whistleblowing in light of the Dodd-Frank Act, and discussed the distressed markets and running a credit facility in the current economic climate.
In attendance were Chen Caihong, Secretary to the Board of CCB, who led the Chinese delegation along with 26 senior bankers from China consisting of six bank presidents, two assistant directors, and 18 general managers.
Also in attendance were leaders from the Georgetown community. "The firm shared real-life situations and experiences that helped build a living case study for the group to learn from."

The speakers were assisted by EBG attorneys: Catherine F. Silie, Dean Silverberg, Michael Levine, Robert Groban, and Maura Russell.
