New York, NY (December 7, 2022) – Last night, Epstein Becker Green (EBG) was honored at the Northeast Business Group on Health’s (NEBGH’s) 28th Annual Tribute to Leadership event in New York City. EBG received the “Outstanding Leadership in Business” Award.

Established in 1995, the Tribute to Leadership serves to “publicly recognize extraordinary service, leadership, and commitment in creating a healthy work force and improving the healthcare system.”

“As supporters of and advocates for the NEBGH since its inception, we are immensely honored to be recognized with this prestigious award,” said Mark Lutes, Chair of EBG’s Board of Directors, who accepted the award on EBG’s behalf. “Being endorsed by a group that so intimately understands our business and its services makes this recognition incredibly meaningful.”

Most recently, EBG presented webinars to NEBGH audiences covering a variety of areas, including the legal implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dobbs decision, and the midterm elections and the significant impact those developments would have on business decisions.

NEBGH is an employer-led coalition of nearly 200 benefits leaders and health care stakeholders that aims to drive excellence in health and achieve the highest value in health care delivery and the consumer experience. EBG’s history with NEBGH dates back to the coalition’s incorporation in 1982. Jeffrey Becker, one of EBG’s founding members, serves on NEBGH’s Board of Directors. In addition, EBG represents NEBGH’s subsidiary, HealthPass, a New York health insurance exchange enabling small businesses to offer their employees a choice of affordable, quality health care coverage.

Now more than ever, there’s a need for NEBGH because all employers are facing significant challenges in employee recruitment, retention, and wellness, and are grappling with issues concerning coverage and payment for a multitude of emerging high-priced therapies.
