Richard Hughes IV, Member of the Firm, moderates “Exploring the Landscape of U.S. Immunization Policy,” at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 2026 Annual Meeting, which runs from November 1 to 4.

Kyla Perrotta, Associate, is the featured speaker on the panel.

This session presents in-depth findings from the Legal Epidemiology of U.S. Immunization Law project, a comprehensive legal compendium cataloging statutes, regulations, and related policy governing vaccination across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This project applies a legal epidemiology approach to map this landscape and equip public health practitioners, advocates, policymakers, and health providers with actionable information related to immunization policy. The session will preview the project’s public-facing companion website, immunizationlaw.org, demonstrating its searchable, state and policy domain-organized functionality, data visualizations, and plain language policy summaries. The presentation will be followed by an open Q&A for attendees to discuss findings, explore website use cases, and receive feedback.
