Nancy Gunzenhauser Popper and Shira Blank, Members of the Firm, co-present "Balancing Act: Addressing Mental Health Accommodation Requests While Creating Health-Conscious Policies," a one-hour CLE program hosted by the New York City Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC NYC) and sponsored by Epstein Becker Green.

The prominence of “mental health” has reached the forefront of employees’ minds in recent years. However, while employers have started promoting mental health-facing benefits and programs, they have also seen an uptick in mental health-related accommodation requests.

In this session, in-house counsel will gain essential knowledge on managing mental health accommodation requests while formulating policies that support workplace wellness.

Key areas of focus include legal compliance in mental health accommodations, strategies for sustaining a health-conscious work environment, and maintaining confidentiality in the accommodation process.

Attendees will leave equipped with practical tools to create a supportive and legally sound workplace that prioritizes employee well-being. This session is an invaluable opportunity to enhance your understanding of integrating mental health considerations into your company's policies and practices.
