47th Annual National Association of Medical Staff Services Conference

Members of the Firm Jeremy Morris and Steve Kleinman and Associate Avery Schumacher speak at the 47th Annual National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) Conference, which runs September 11 to 13.

On September 11, Avery and Jeremy present “Made to Measure – Informal Remediation, Correct Action, and Fair Hearings,” during which participants will learn to:

• identify the value and importance of peer review,
• identify options for and alternatives to formal corrective action, and
• list options for corrective action.

Later in the day, Avery and Steve will present “Dishing the Dirt – Navigating Physician Reporting Requirements and Discoverability of Records,” during which, participants will learn to:

• describe when they must report a practitioner to the NPDB,
• identify situations where medical staff records may be discoverable in litigation, and
• list the criteria for HCQIA immunity.
