Mansfield Law Firm Participation Badge

New York, NY (May 28, 2021)Epstein Becker Green (“EBG”) is pleased to announce that it has joined the Mansfield Rule 5.0, administered by Diversity Lab, as part of the firm’s continuing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

The Mansfield Rule seeks to diversify law firms and their leadership by helping to formalize procedures and implement tracking systems to ensure underrepresented lawyers are considered for positions, including hiring, staffing, promotion, and significant governance roles. Benchmarking progress and incorporating a reflective element into the decision making process broadens the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities and will lead to sustainable change over time.

“We are proud to participate in the Mansfield Rule and take measurable, intentional steps to support greater diversity in our law firm and its leadership,” said Carrie Valiant, Chair of the firm’s Diversity and Professional Development Committee. “Law firms greatly benefit from diversity and inclusion by having all perspectives at the table. We adopted the Mansfield Rule to confirm our ongoing commitment to making positive progress toward diversity and inclusion, together with other participating firms.”

“Diversity is one of our firm’s Core Values. Since our founding, we have been committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and an inclusive environment in which all attorneys and staff members can develop to their fullest potential. Participating in the Mansfield Rule furthers this commitment,” said James P. Flynn, Managing Director.
