Washington, DC (November 10, 2021)Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is proud to announce the winners of the 2021 Annual Core Values Champion awards, including Paul DeCamp, Nivedita B. Patel, and a group of staff across departments and offices.

Four years ago, attorneys and staff worked together to define and express the firm’s values, creating a Values Commitment that outlines the intangible qualities of EBG that have shaped and continue to define our culture. To date, hundreds of colleagues at all levels throughout the firm have been nominated by their peers and recognized internally as Core Values Champions on a monthly basis. From those sincere and genuine nominations, we recognize annual winners in three overall categories for their contributions to our culture—one Staff, one Non-Partner, and one Member of the Firm. Each winner receives a gift acknowledging the award.

“Commemorating our Annual Core Values Champion winners each year is a wonderful moment to pause, celebrate, and reflect on the values that drive us. This year, we found that many of our nominations were for pairs, small groups, and teams of colleagues banding together to tackle complex projects and solve client challenges, while individuals stood out for their Firm-ambassadorship and collegiality,” said James (Jim) P. Flynn, Managing Director of EBG. “As we continue finding ways to provide the highest level of client service and maintain the culture that has sustained us for nearly five decades, we are grateful for their efforts on behalf of the Firm.”

We congratulate the following outstanding colleagues for their important role in creating an inclusive, rewarding, and values-based culture at EBG.

Paul DeCamp

Paul’s approachable manner and mentoring of others has been noted by colleagues across offices, practices, and levels. He consistently exhibits the conduct most becoming of a Core Values Champion.

Nivedita B. Patel

Nivedita embodies our values of compassion, care, and concern for one another, and truly delivers upon the value of excellence in client service for our clients and colleagues.

Ohio Launch Team

Staff Across Departments/Offices

The teamwork and collaboration that led to our successful expansion into Ohio with the addition of 20 attorneys was so monumental that a group of staff was recognized for their in-person and off-site support.

Our Annual Staff Core Values Champion winners, a group of individuals in our Operations and IT departments, went above and beyond expectations onboarding attorneys, connecting technology, and completely transforming 12,000 square feet of space into a fully functioning office in roughly 24 hours.

Leading up to and since then, many others throughout the firm have provided their support for Ohio. We are proud to acknowledge the secretaries and billing coordinators, Operations, IT, Conflicts, Finance, Marketing, Professional Development, and HR departments' professionals who provided off-site and ongoing support for our new colleagues.
