Ted R. Mannen, Counsel to Epstein Becker Green and a Strategic Advisor for the firm's affiliate EBG Advisors, Inc., was quoted in POLITICO Morning eHealth, in “Implications of HHS’s 2017 Budget,” by David Pittman.
Following is an excerpt:
COMING SOON FROM CMS: The White House’s Office of Management and Budget is reviewing a new CMS rule entitled “Expedited Coverage of Innovative Technology,” according to the notice on its website. CMS doesn’t comment on pending rulemaking, but Ted Mannen, attorney at Epstein Becker Green and former executive director at AdvaMed, was happy to speculate. Mannen told Morning eHealth it sounds like Medicare is looking to speed up the process to cover new gadgets and services, which can be a lengthy undertaking.
