Melissa Jampol of Epstein Becker Green said the case not only shows “the potential for fraud within fraud cases” but also highlights the intense interest both sides have in concealing or unearthing a complaint's allegations.
“The information set forth in a qui tam complaint while under seal is extremely valuable to both the government and the defendant as the government often takes a substantial amount of time to investigate FCA cases,” Jampol said.
