Former DHCS counsel with California health plan and provider regulatory experience explains why he joined the firm.

Dennis C. Jones, Jr., a Member of the Firm in the Health Care & Life Sciences practice, has joined Epstein Becker Green’s San Francisco office. Jones brings nearly a decade of experience as government counsel at California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), which administers the Medi-Cal program, along with a background representing health plans and providers in regulatory enforcement actions, provider-payor payment disputes, and compliance matters. His arrival drew coverage from several media outlets, including the Daily Journal’s “On the Move” column, Global Legal Chronicle, San Francisco Business Times, Attorney at Law Magazine, and Wisevoter.

As reported by Corporate Counsel Business Journal, Jones explained what drew him to the firm. “When the opportunity to join Epstein Becker Green arose, the decision was simple,” Jones said. “The firm’s national health care platform and litigation strength give me an opportunity to leverage my years inside California’s health care regulatory system to give clients sophisticated counsel in meeting the demands of their most challenging matters.”
