Health Care Attorney Lisa Pierce Reisz Joins Epstein Becker Green in Columbus

Columbus, OH (January 17, 2023) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Lisa Pierce Reisz has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Health Care & Life Sciences practice in Columbus, Ohio. Lisa brings a distinct focus on representing health care organizations on health information technology (HIT) and data use issues.

With over 30 years of experience, Lisa’s business-focused, practical advice helps clients navigate regulatory compliance and licensing issues, government investigations, and complex disputes. In addition to her focus on advising health care clients on regulatory compliance issues, Lisa has experience in physician licensure, physician contracting, and medical staff governance issues. She also counsels on fraud and abuse compliance and responses to government investigations at both the state and federal levels.

Lisa also has significant experience in the areas of commercial and business litigation. She has successfully argued cases before the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Eighth and Tenth District Courts of Appeals and has trial and hearing experience in the federal courts in Ohio, Delaware, and New York and before Ohio state courts and administrative agencies. She has successfully defended various clients in summary judgment proceedings and successfully mediated numerous business and commercial litigation disputes.

Lisa is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association’s Health Information and Technology Practice Group and served on its leadership team from 2015 to 2021. Locally, she is a past President of the Columbus Bar Association, and is currently a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Health Care Committee and the Ohio Health Information Management Association. Lisa was recently named a 2023 Ohio Super Lawyer in Health Care and Litigation and was also named a Leading Lawyer in Health Care in Ohio by Chambers USA and one of Columbus CEO’s Best Lawyers in Health Care in 2022. A skilled speaker, Lisa has facilitated dozens of in-person trainings, webinars, and seminars on topics ranging from HIPAA compliance to the confidentiality of medical and mental health records to the pitfalls of electronic health records in litigation, data breach responses, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s guidance on COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.

Lisa’s addition kicks off another year of growth for EBG and its Columbus office and Health Care & Life Sciences practice.
