The expanding regulatory framework has created considerable compliance challenges for HIPAA covered entities. Requirements including data breaches and accounting for disclosures and anticipated privacy and security audits are just a few of the complex issues that must be routinely addressed. These challenges, coupled with increased government enforcement, make it imperative for covered entities to understand the regulatory obligations and the attendant risks of non-compliance. This program will provide an update on the Office for Civil Right's enforcement activities and will provide practical solutions for furthering HIPAA compliance.
You should attend this program if you are an administrator, compliance officer, privacy professional, security professional, information technology professional, or in-house attorney of any covered entity or business associate, including an academic medical center, ambulance provider, DMEPOS supplier, health plan, hospital, long-term care facility, MA Plan, Part D Plan, pharmacy, physician group, skilled nursing facility, or other health care provider.
