David Garland, Member of the Firm, moderates a panel discussion, "Working Remotely: Attitudes, Approaches, and Regulations Around the World," at the Midyear Meeting of the American Bar Association (ABA) International Labor and Employment Law Committee (ILEL), which runs from May 4 to 8.
Although remote working has existed since the invention of computers, the COVID quarantine took it to a new level. Now, post-COVID, some employers are requiring (or strongly urging) employees to return to the workplace. Others are embracing the elimination of office space and employing people (or contracting with them) globally. This panel will analyze the cultural attitudes and legal challenges of this new reality.
