Jaworski and Caitlin Carlton joined podiatrists from across the country at the American Podiatric Medical Association’s (APMA) 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting for a discussion on a subject that has become increasingly difficult for providers to ignore: federal health care fraud enforcement.
On the final day of the American Health Law Association’s Annual Meeting in New York, officials from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) gave their own take on their agencies’ ramped-up enforcement efforts regarding health care fraud in mid-2026.
Legislation introduced in the U.S. Senate in November, informally called the “Better FDA Act of 2025,” is perhaps a bit misleading.
