Health care-focused Epstein Becker Green added a former U.S. Department of Justice prosecutor with experience in a variety of enforcement matters as a member in Washington, D.C., the firm announced.
Sarah M. Hall joined Epstein Becker on Monday after having spent nearly four years with Thompson Hine LLP. Hall told Law360 on Thursday that she chose to make the move because of the firm's [experience] in health care and its overall reputation in the industry.
"Epstein Becker Green is a well-regarded national health care firm, and my prior life as a DOJ health care fraud prosecutor drew me to the firm," she said. "It's just a great platform for me and my clients, specifically my health care ones, and they have an amazing reputation in that particular space. I thought it would be an excellent move for me and allow me to really put a greater footprint down in the health care arena."…

During her time with the DOJ's Criminal Division, Hall spent four years in the health care fraud unit and another three years handling securities and financial fraud. Following seven years with the government and the 2016 change in presidential administration, she said she felt it was time to make a return to private practice, where her experience gained from government work has helped clients receive insight into the inner workings of government investigations. …
