Bradley Merrill Thompson Quoted in “FDA Lab-Testing Regulation in the Crossfire”

Bradley Merrill Thompson, Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, was quoted in POLITICO Pro, in “FDA Lab-Testing Regulation in the Crossfire,” by Brett Norman.

Following is an excerpt:

The current framework creates a double standard that’s far more burdensome for the manufacturers facing FDA review, said Bradley Merrill Thompson, a lawyer with clients that back the FDA proposal.

“There are identical tests, some subjected to multiyear FDA review and some that are going immediately onto the market without any quality review,” he said. “There has to be a better way, based not on who made the tests but what they are doing.” …

“Who hires high-profile lawyers and puts out a press release?” Thompson asked. “It was silly. It was saber-rattling at its most obvious.”
