J. WILLIAM COOK is a Senior Counsel in the Litigation practice, in the firm's New York and Newark offices. His practice spans a wide range of complex commercial and general litigation matters. Mr. Cook represents clients in myriad industries, including banking, insurance and technology. His extensive experience litigating in the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey and before various arbitral forums includes:

  • Litigating commercial disputes involving contract claims, securities transactions, ERISA, civil RICO, health maintenance organization law, insurance coverage, and unfair competition
  • Litigating real estate-related matters involving commercial leases, condemnation and land use disputes.

Mr. Cook served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Office of the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York, Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Division, from 1994 to 1997.
