Nashville, TN (December 27, 2023) Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Wes Scott has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice in Nashville. He led the Nashville Mergers & Acquisitions practice at his previous firm.

Scott focuses on both buy- and sell-side middle-market transactions in the health care services, health care technology, medical device, industrial, manufacturing, logistics and business services verticals.

“Nashville is a dynamic market that is experiencing significant growth and that has a wealth of opportunities, especially in the health care and life sciences industries,” said Scott. “As transactions become more complex and my practice continues to expand, I needed a talent base and national platform that would allow me to grow alongside the city. EBG, with its national health care and life sciences practice that achieved ‘The Elite’ ranking from Chambers USA, fit those needs perfectly.”

Scott provides advice to private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, investors, management teams, and founders as they buy, sell, and partner with businesses through mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. Clients also rely on him as they raise equity and debt capital to fund their working capital needs and ongoing operations.

“EBG is committed to bolstering its capabilities to serve health care and life sciences clients throughout the country, and Wes is an important part of that strategy in Nashville,” said George B. Breen, Chair of the Firm’s national Health Care and Life Sciences Steering Committee. “As the market continues to show a substantial appetite for dealmaking, we are pleased to have Wes’s skills and experience to better serve our clients,” added Chris Dunn, Managing Member of EBG’s Nashville office.

In addition to his transactional practice, Scott serves as outside general counsel services to multiple companies in various industries.

His addition caps a year of growth in its Nashville office and in the Southeast. The Firm added Members Jeb Gerth, Ryan Cochran, Heath Edwards in Nashville, along with Hemant Gupta and Jeff McGoff in Memphis and Adelee Traylor in Dallas.

“Our health care practice in Nashville is continuing to develop momentum, and we are thrilled to have Wes join us,” said Dunn. “We were interested in him both as an individual and as a skilled attorney. Wes operates at the highest level, is a great fit for us, and adds to the Nashville talent we have in health care regulatory experience, employment law, finance and construction fields.”
