Held on February 15,
the conference educates physicians and medical group executives
on the value of strategic transactions.

SAN FRANCISCO (January 4, 2024) Epstein Becker Green (EBG) announced today that registration is live for the seventh Physician Transactions Conference in San Francisco, California, on February 15, 2024, of which it is one of many lead sponsors.

This full-day educational conference at the W San Francisco provides in-depth guidance to independent physicians and leaders of independent medical groups on exploring various options to strategically position themselves for long-term success.

The live event is the only full-day educational conference focused on extensive guidance on strategic transactions for physicians and medical group executives in the United States. The Physician Transactions Conference has hosted hundreds of doctors over the past seven years, helping facilitate strategic decision-making of countless medical professionals across the country.

During this eight-hour educational conference, physicians will learn from over 30 panelists with substantial expertise on these topics, including 10 physicians speaking about “life after closing” of their initial partnership transactions and their experience with lucrative “second bite” transactions.

Physicians are facing continuously rising costs of medical practice—including salaries for nurses, technicians, medical assistants, and clerks—while at the same time receiving less reimbursement for their services from Medicare and commercial health insurers. Amid these challenging dynamics, physician group transactions are expected to continue their momentum throughout 2024.

The 2024 Physician Transactions Conference will provide guidance for physicians and medical group executives considering strategic transactions as well as explore options for physicians to strategically position themselves for long-term survival and success.

Physicians and leaders of independent medical groups can request registration information here for this complimentary event. Capacity is strictly limited to 150 attendees, so please register soon.

“Physicians and medical groups have a tremendous opportunity to explore strategic transactions in 2024, but they really need to understand all aspects of these complicated partnerships before deciding whether or not it’s right for their groups and whether it will better help their particular practice achieve future success,” explained Gary Herschman, Board of Directors Member at Epstein Becker Green, and co-founder of the Physician Transactions Conference.

Dana Jacoby, President & CEO of Vector Medical Group (and co-founder of the conference), commented, “This event will connect physicians with strategic partners and provide programming for the entire physician transactions ecosystem to get a stronger grasp on how to maximize valuations, secure financial protections, and continue to meet key clinical objectives while benefiting patients and  ensuring that their practices continue to be successful long into the future.”

This year’s program includes 11 panel sessions, such as:

  • How to Maximize Practice Value by “Getting Your House in Order” in Advance
  • How “Income Repair” Works Following a Private Equity Partnership
  • Anatomy of a Private Equity Transaction – What to Expect at Each Stage of the Process, and Key Strategies for Achieving Optimal Terms
  • Second Bite Transactions are Real
  • Keynote Panel: Life After Closing of a Private Equity Deal, from the Perspective of Physicians Who Partnered with Six Different Platforms
