Bradley Merrill Thompson, a Member of the Firm in Health Care and Life Sciences practice in the Washington, D.C., office, was quoted in article titled, "FDA Probes Whether Recalled Devices Were Rushed Back to Market."
According to the article, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating whether makers of medical devices such as pumps and defibrillators are rushing recalled products back on the market before problems are corrected.
"I think the agency as a whole has become a lot more sensitive to risk," said Thompson. "Part of what you see is a backlash against the perception that the agency wasn't being diligent enough making risk-based decisions."
