Frank C. Morris, Jr., a Member of the Firm in the Litigation practice and head of the Labor and Employment practice at the Washington, D.C. office, was quoted in a July 14, 2008, National Law Journal article about Congress aiming to expand the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
The article, "Congress aims to expand the ADA," discusses Congress's approval of legislation that would expand the ADA in the wake of Supreme Court decisions curtailing the reach of the law.
"There's absolutely no doubt it will mean more litigation because the definition of disability is significantly loosened, so more cases will survive summary judgment," said Morris, who is the co-chair of EBG's Disability Law Group. "The other reason for a lot more litigation is this will open up many more situations to accommodation requests."
