Herschman said EBG is representing clients outside of New Jersey who want to come in.
“There is something about how densely populated the state is,” he said. “It’s somewhat of a progressive state. There is a lot going on here, not only within the health providers, but pharmaceutical industry as well.”
Patel agreed, adding the booming private equity interest has played a role. EBG, with its offices just a 15-minute train ride from Wall Street, feels that gives it another edge.
Five to 10 years ago, the private equity and venture capital firms were on the sidelines, Patel said.
“But now, they have turned the tap on, full swing,” she said. “There is so much money out there to invest in health care. Not just providers, but there are ancillary vendors out there.”
