The recent results of the presidential election confirms that we are truly in a time of change. The new Administration in the White House, along with the increase in a Democratic majority in the Senate, provides an opportunity for a dramatic transformation in labor and employment law. Not since 1961, and then again in 1993, has the opportunity for modifications, amendments and promulgations of new laws been so ripe to alter the labor and employment landscape. For the first time in many years we face the possibility of an overhaul of traditional labor and employment law initiatives. Indeed, in 2009, we are at the precipice of a shift in the rights of employers. This post-inauguration briefing will address the issues that every employer will be required to face in this time of change.
