“I think President Trump and [Labor] Secretary [Alexander] Acosta are really focusing on trying to expand business and not otherwise hinder business expansion through excessive rulemaking,” Epstein Becker Green hospitality team leader Jeffrey Ruzal said. “This is one that I don’t necessarily see as extremely pro-business, but I definitely think it serves a significant benefit for hospitality employers.” …

“To some extent, there seems to be a lot of DOL activity here,” Ruzal said. “Granted, the regulatory activity or potential regulatory activity that we’re hearing about would certainly be pro-business and less restrictive on business activity, but nevertheless, there definitely is a lot of regulatory activity going on.”
