  • An international research hospital in a lawsuit involving defamation, breach of contract, whistleblowing, the False Claims Act, and other claims through to a jury verdict

  • A national durable goods manufacturer in a California wage and hour class action

  • An attorney organization in its defense against claims related to corporate malfeasance

Advice & Counseling

Mr. Pepple has also:

  • Advised various clients on situation-specific courses of action in response to employee requests for leaves or accommodations
  • Counseled clients on situation-specific procedures for handling employees who exhaust statutory leave but who may require and/or qualify for additional leave under state or federal disability laws
  • Advised various clients on revisions to their California wage and hour policies, including meal and rest breaks, overtime and other premium pay, background checks, and employee performance and discipline
  • Provided advice to clients on situation-specific procedures for handling employee discipline and/or termination
  • Counseled a nonprofit organization on the perfection of an insurance claim borne of employee theft
