Overview

Attorney Megan George guides clients through a variety of health care transactional matters ranging from health care private equity deals to physician employment agreement negotiations. She also helps clients stay compliant with evolving health care laws and regulations.

Megan’s clients include a wide range of health care organizations (including physicians, hospitals and health systems, physician and dental practices, laboratories, home health agencies, and health care management companies), as well as private equity firms and companies requiring general corporate representation. Megan advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic affiliations, commercial transactions, corporate structuring, and compliance with health care regulations. In addition, she drafts and negotiates health care-related employment and service agreements.

Clients also turn to Megan for advice on the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, EKRA, state self-referral laws, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, state and federal licensure and certification, the corporate practice of medicine, and fee splitting, among other health care regulatory matters.

Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Megan was an attorney in an East Coast law firm's Corporate Department and Health Care Practice. Earlier in her career, Megan acted as in-house counsel for one of New Jersey’s largest health care systems.

Megan holds a Healthcare Compliance Certificate from Seton Hall University School of Law. She is active in the health law community, serving as a member of the American Health Law Association and the New Jersey Bar Association.
