Overview

Attorney Jerrold Ehrlich concentrates on managed care and the regulation of insurance companies, managed care companies and providers, as well as mergers and acquisitions of insurers and managed care companies. Since joining the firm, Jerrold has represented hospitals, physician groups, health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, and insurers.

Jerrold:

  • Assists clients in the formation of HMOs, physician organizations, physician hospital networks and managed care networks
  • Advises clients on state and federal regulations concerning insurance companies, managed care companies and health insurance benefits
  • Negotiates contractual relationships between organizations, including hospitals, insurers, PPOs and managed care networks

Prior to joining Epstein Becker Green, Jerrold headed the corporate law section for Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield as vice president, associate general counsel. He was responsible for product development and health maintenance organization regulation and contracting. Jerrold has served on numerous task forces and special committees dealing with legal and administrative issues of concern to health care entities. He also speaks on managed care contracting and regulatory issues.
