Liz Houghton LaGreca is an experienced litigator and trusted advisor who partners with employers to find solutions to their most challenging employment law matters. Liz counsels employers on all facets of employment law, with an eye towards minimizing risk and achieving optimal workplace outcomes.
Clients across industries rely on Liz to represent them in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels and administrative agencies. Her litigation experience includes successfully defending against claims of employment-related discrimination, harassment and retaliation, whistleblowing, wrongful termination, and restrictive covenant disputes.
In addition, Liz maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented individuals in immigration and family law matters.
Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Liz was a litigation attorney at an international law firm and previously served as an intern at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Litigation Section.

- Served as legal secondee and in-house counsel for two global financial services institutions, where she was responsible for counseling the business and human resources on all day-to-day labor and employment matters.
- Assisted multiple large financial services clients with restructuring and reduction in force plans, including vetting termination selections to mitigate risk, assessing disparate impact analysis to flag potential discrimination concerns, and preparing separation agreements.
- Conducted due diligence in connection with a client’s acquisition of technology company in order to assess employment-related risks and integration challenges.
- Negotiated a favorable resolution for a media company involving a litigious former employee asserting disability discrimination claims.
- Represented a manufacturing company in a wrongful termination arbitration brought by former CEO, and achieved a favorable outcome for the client due to effective witness examinations and persuasive pre-and post-trial motions.
- Provides counsel to numerous clients on a broad range of employment law issues, including hiring, training, employment policies, accommodation and leave requests, employee relations investigations, reductions in force, performance management, and retaining diverse talent.
- Monitors emerging COVID-19 developments, and assists companies with navigating novel issues during the pandemic, including workplace safety protocols, testing and vaccine issues, and OSHA requirements while providing practical advice regarding remote work and return-to-office issues.
