Attorney Brianna Richardson works collaboratively with clients to create employee benefits, executive compensation, and retirement plans that meet their business needs and objectives.

Brianna assists employers with designing, drafting, administering, and terminating employee benefit plans and other employee programs and arrangements. She advises on a variety of executive- and equity-based incentive arrangements, including nonqualified deferred compensation plans, severance plans, and employee stock ownership plans (or ESOPs).

Brianna helps her clients maintain plan compliance and, when necessary, conducts audits, corrects plan errors, and prepares initial determinations. She also represents qualified retirement and welfare plans in various legal matters involving compliance with ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, and other federal laws.

When an employer contemplates a merger or acquisition, Brianna conducts employee benefits due diligence and assists in all other benefits matters for the transaction. She also implements the merger and spinoffs of retirement plans.

In addition, human resource professionals rely on Brianna’s advice with respect to day-to-day employee benefits issues. Clients and colleagues appreciate Brianna’s diligence, as well as her commitment to finding the answers and getting results.

Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Brianna was an employee benefits and executive compensation attorney at a Michigan law firm. While attending the University of Illinois College of Law, Brianna served as a Topics Editor for the school’s Elder Law Journal and was a 711 licensed law student at the school’s Family Advocacy Clinic. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Susan Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
