Avery Canty is a dedicated litigation attorney and trusted advisor who defends employers in complex legal disputes and counsels them on employment law issues.

Always focused on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients, Avery represents employers in employment disputes, including employment claims and alleged civil rights violations, from inception through to litigation or mediation. She handles matters involving wage and hour issues and reductions in force, as well as claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act, California’s Private Attorneys General Act, and similar state laws.

In addition to her work in litigation, Avery offers clients proactive advice and counsel on a broad range of workplace law matters. She is well-versed in the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, employee relations, risk mitigation, ADA and workplace accommodations, employment agreements, and the development of employment policies. Avery is committed to helping organizations maintain compliance and reduce potential liabilities.

Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Avery developed her litigation skills at a California-based law firm. Previously, she also gained valuable experience serving as a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
