Overview
Attorney Alicia Maziarz McFarland helps employers resolve their labor and employment disputes. She assists in defending them in cases involving allegations of discrimination and harassment, wage and hour class actions, and unfair competition matters, in federal and state courts and before city, state, and federal government agencies.
Employers also seek Alicia’s assistance with developing and revising their procedures and policies, including employment policies and employee handbooks. Additionally, Alicia advises employers on compliance with wage and hour laws, harassment and discrimination laws, and employee leave laws and benefits.
Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Alicia served as an Attorney Fellow with the Northeastern University Office of the General Counsel, a comprehensive two-year fellowship in which she represented the university in multiple litigation and pre-litigation matters involving employees in various departments across the university. While in law school, Alicia worked as a judicial intern to Judge Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
