LifePoint Health executive Paul Gilbert has joined Epstein Becker as a partner in its health and life sciences practices, splitting his time between the firm's Nashville, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C., offices.

Gilbert focuses on transactions and corporate governance, and has a history of advising health systems, hospitals and other health organizations in transactions, securities law and governing companies. Before spending a decade at the hospital operator, Gilbert spent another 10 years as a corporate transactions attorney at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP in Nashville.

“With more than 25 years of experience managing the varied and complex issues that hospitals, health systems and other provider organizations face, Paul brings strategic insights and perspective from an insider’s lens that will add tremendous value to our clients,” Epstein Becker chair Mark Lutes said in a statement. “We have added several accomplished attorneys in Nashville to address client needs and Paul will be an invaluable addition to our growing team.”

Gilbert earned his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School and an undergraduate degree in politics from Wake Forest University.
