Epstein Becker Green has bolstered its ranks in New York City by bringing over an attorney from Littler Mendelson PC who has represented some big-name employers like Uber in high-stakes employment cases.

Kevin R. Vozzo, who has litigated wage-and-hour claims, employee classification and arbitration disputes for companies including Uber and the TJX Cos. Inc., joined Epstein Becker’s labor and employment practice as a partner on Monday, after almost 7 years at San Francisco-based Littler Mendelson.

“It felt like the right time. I’m looking to continue working with clients in the gig economy from small startups to large international corporations.” Vozzo told Law360 on Tuesday. “Epstein is committed to being innovative in the legal marketplace and I think that separates it from other law firms because clients are also looking for new ways to approach legal issues.” …

David W. Garland, chair of Epstein Becker’s employment and labor steering committee, said in a statement that the firm is excited to have Vozzo on board.

“The evolving workplace brought on by the gig economy has required companies to shift the way they operate and compels them to meet the challenges of sometimes outdated laws and regulations,” Garland said. “Kevin works closely with clients in this area and has a deep understanding of the issues they are facing. His experience will be of great assistance to our clients.”
