Gretchen Harders and August Emil Huelle, attorneys in the Employee Benefits practice, in the firm’s New York office, were quoted by SHRM.org, in “ACA Reporting Requirement Will Be Tall Order,” by Allen Smith.
Following is an excerpt:
However, Harders and Huelle said, “Employers should keep in mind that, for 2015 reporting, the IRS will not impose penalties on a filer for reporting incorrect or incomplete information itaxf the filer can show that it made good-faith efforts to comply with the information reporting requirements for 2015. Timely filing, therefore, may be more important than 100 percent accuracy as long as employers can prove their good-faith efforts to comply.”
