Doug Hastings, Chair of the Firm's Board of Directors, was quoted in the National Law Journal on the Firm's expansion plans in Chicago and other cities.
The article, titled, "Big Firms in Chicago Facing a Talent Squeeze," stated that many law firms have moved into Chicago in recent years, but are finding increased competition for lawyers in the city.
The article reported that EBG's Chicago office has grown from two lawyers in 1999 to 13 lawyers today, and added that, according to Hastings, the Firm aims to further increase the office's size to 25 lawyers within three years and, perhaps, ultimately 50 lawyers. "That plan would have us probably wanting to grow not only there, but also in some other offices, somewhat more rapidly over the next decade than in the one past," Hastings said.
