Following is an excerpt:

The White House started a public push for the latest Affordable Care Act repeal bill Tuesday as the Senate dropped bipartisan reform efforts. …

The pace of the reform effort presents potential issues for senators trying to digest the legislation, according to Robert Atlas, the president of EBG Advisors, a management and strategy consulting group.

“The bigger risk is that people needing to vote on it will not really have an opp[ortunity] to really digest the detailed meaning,” Atlas said.

Many of the stakeholders in healthcare were “caught a little flat-footed” by the speed at which the latest repeal effort has moved, Atlas said, and the largest speed bump for the bill is the upcoming Senate vote.

“If it passes the Senate it is likely to become law because it appears the different factions in the House will decide they can let go of their differences and pass something that they can say to their base that they proceeded in repealing and replacing Obamacare,” Atlas said.
