This webinar presents a brief overview and practical considerations about the new potential risk areas for companies having Medicare Advantage (“MA”) and Part D Plan contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. These new risk areas arise from the recent changes to the federal False Claims Act by FERA – the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act. The FERA changes, when combined with the mandatory reporting requirements imposed on MA and Part D plans, increase the potential exposure of false claims actions associated with what many could view as common errors in the reporting and claims adjustment processes.
EpsteinBeckerGreen attorney Lynn Shapiro Snyder will provide introductory and opening remarks and discuss “Implications for Managed Care Organization Compliance Programs.”
EspteinBeckerGreen attorney Marci Handler will discuss “Legal/Compliance Implications of the False Claims Act (FCA) and the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act (FEPA) for Managed Care Organizations.”
