The Trump administration announced on Tuesday that it’s ending a program protecting young unauthorized immigrants from deportation, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.
The program had allowed certain undocumented immigrants who entered the country as minors to work legally without fear of being deported. The administration’s latest move could potentially trim nearly 800,000 immigrants from the workforce as the program is phased out over the next few years.
Law360this week explored some of the most pressing questions facing employers of DACA recipients.
