Epstein Becker Green is proud to announce that Steven B. Epstein, one of the firm's founders, was named by Lawdragon Magazine as one of Lawdragon's 500 Leading Lawyers in America on its 2010 annual list.

Mr. Epstein is one of the pioneers in the legal area known as health care law. For more than 35 years, Mr. Epstein has played an important role in the establishment of the concept that health care organizations require a dedicated form of legal representation. During such time, he was also instrumental in the acceptance of managed care as the most prominent form of health care delivery. Mr. Epstein has been referred to as the "father of the health care industry," according to Chambers USA, and as a "trailblazer in the field" of health care law, according to Columbia Law School Magazine. In addition, he was selected as a member of the Greater Washington Legal Elite by Washington Smart CEO and was named in Best Lawyers in America in 2008 and 2009.

Lawdragon 500 sets the standard for the best in the legal profession. It includes private attorneys from a wide range of practices, in-house counsel, law professors, judges and neutrals, government attorneys and public interest lawyers. The guide is selected through a combination of submissions from firms, voting in an online ballot and in-depth research by Lawdragon's editorial staff.
