Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that George B. Breen is one of ten lawyers throughout the country to be included by Nightingale's Healthcare News on its list of Outstanding Healthcare Litigators, in its January 2010 Special Report.

Mr. Breen is a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences and Litigation practices in the Washington, D.C. office. He is Co-Chair of the Health Care and Life Sciences Litigation Group.

Nightingale's noted that Mr. Breen's recent accomplishments included: securing the dismissal of an action against a medical society and individual physicians brought under a state peer-review statute, a decision which was subsequently upheld on appeal; and the representation of a long-term care provider in an action challenging its exclusion from participation in the Medicare program, resulting in the provider's continued participation in the program.

Mr. Breen is a frequent lecturer and author on issues related to health care and trial practice. He has been a member of a variety of professional organizations and is a Past President and member of the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Breen is Peer Review rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating that an attorney can receive for competence and integrity.
