Newark, NJ (August 2, 2021) – Epstein Becker Green (“EBG”) is pleased to announce that Scheherazade A. Wasty and Jeffrey P. Mongiello have been selected as 2021 “New Leaders of the Bar” by the New Jersey Law Journal. This award recognizes attorneys yet to reach the age of 40 whose notable achievements and outstanding potential set them apart from their peers.

Ms. Wasty is a top young lawyer and leader at EBG: smart, creative, and a tenacious client advocate and role model for other lawyers within and outside the firm. She is a litigator in the health care and commercial space and represents large national companies and higher profile clients in bet-the-ranch litigation and other important and often sensitive matters. Her commitment to her colleagues and her clients is unwavering.

Since qualifying for the New Jersey bar, Mr. Mongiello has proven himself a skilled lawyer with a bright future. His colleagues and adversaries alike have praised him for his proficiency and congeniality as an attorney, and he is active in the New Jersey legal community. He has particularly distinguished himself as an appellate advocate and has demonstrated a strong ability for writing and developing creative legal arguments—whether in formal briefs and memoranda or thought-leadership articles and blog posts.

As “New Leaders of the Bar” Honorees, Ms. Wasty and Mr. Mongiello will be profiled in the Law Journal’s upcoming magazines and recognized on September 23, 2021, at the publication’s Professional Excellence Event at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park. They join colleague Victoria Vaskov Sheridan, Member of the Firm, who was honored as a New Leader of the Bar in 2018.
