On July 24, 2013, the IOM Committee on Geographic Variation in Health Care Spending and Promotion of High-Value Care will release a new report examining regional differences in Medicare and commercial health care spending and use to introduce the report to stakeholders.

Douglas Hastings has been working with this group for the past three years to develop this report and on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, he, along with several members of the committee, will participate in several Congressional Briefings to summarize the report, including key findings and recommendations. Additionally, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., the IOM Committee will host a public release event, where they will be answering questions related to the report.
