New York, NY (July 27, 2011) — The national law firm of Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Doug Hastings, Chair of the Board of Directors and a Member of the Firm's Health Care and Life Sciences practice in the Washington, D.C. office, received the Bureau of National Affairs' (BNA) Insights Award for 2010, for an article he wrote titled, "The Timeline for Accountable Care: The Rollout of the Payment and Delivery Reform Provisions in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Implications for Accountable Care Organizations."

BNA Insights provide important analysis and understanding of complex issues and developments in specific legal practice areas. The BNA Insights Award honors practitioners and other thought leaders who have authored the best BNA Insights articles. Out of approximately 1,000 articles written for BNA last year, only five Insights Awards were chosen. The winners were announced at the 104th American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Annual Meeting & Conference (AALL) in Philadelphia this week.

Mr. Hastings was named one of The National Law Journal's "Most Influential Lawyers" and was recognized as a "Super Lawyer" for the District of Columbia in 2011. In 2010, he was presented with the David J. Greenburg Service Award from the American Health Lawyers Association and was named by Best Lawyers as the "Washington, DC Health Care Lawyer of the Year." He is listed in Chambers USA Leading Lawyers for Business in Band 1 for health care transactions nationally. Chambers described him as a "transactional genius" and "one of the best health lawyers in the country."
