New Hires Reflect Firm's Steady Growth in Serving Health Care and Life Sciences Industry

New York, NY (October 20, 2010) — The national law firm of Epstein Becker Green announced today that it has hired seven new associates in its Health Care and Life Sciences Practice in the Washington, D.C. and New York offices.

"Health care reform has created new opportunities for our Firm, and we have been very busy counseling health care and life sciences clients on how to understand, interpret and comply with the new laws and regulations that affect them. As a result of this uptick in health care work, we wanted to hire associates who have significant experience in the industry," said Wendy Goldstein, Chair of Epstein Becker Green's Health Care and Life Sciences Practice. "We are happy with the team of associates that we selected and look forward to the contributions that they will make to serving our clients."

James Boiani, Adam Solander and Lesley Yeung are lateral associate hires based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office. Alice Dong is a lateral associate hire based in the Firm's New York office.

James Boiani was previously an associate at a law firm in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients before the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Adam Solander previously served as a health policy counsel for a health industry committee in Washington, D.C., where he counseled Fortune 500 companies on health care legislation; and analyzed regulations and their potential impact on those companies. Lesley Yeung served as a health insurance specialist at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as well as a program analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Alice Dong was a senior policy analyst with a health organization in Washington, D.C., where she prepared organizational analyses of health care reform legislation and regulations.

Matthew Jason Brooke and Jennifer Goodwin are first-year associate hires based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office. Leah Roffman is a first-year associate hire based in the Firm's New York office.

Matthew Jason Brooke was previously a senior research scientist with Boston Scientific Corporation, where he helped develop next-generation pacemaker and defibrillator technology. Jennifer Goodwin previously served as a paralegal for a law firm in New York. Leah Roffman was a research assistant at Boston College Law School, where she focused on child custody law in Massachusetts.
