“According to a 2016 study, an estimated 61 percent of health care institutions currently use some form of telehealth technology, and between 40 and 50 percent of all hospitals in the U.S. now utilize some form of telehealth technology in their provision of health care services. So telemedicine is certainly here to stay,” said Ms. Lerman. “And that’s why it is important that health care providers, physicians, employers, and other users are up to speed on the various complex issues that this exciting technology presents.”
