Boston, MA (January 27, 2021) – Epstein Becker Green (“EBG”) is pleased to announce that Gregory Keating has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice in Boston. Mr. Keating, a nationally-renowned authority in the defense of whistleblower claims, helps clients reduce exposure to regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk. Mr. Keating joins from Choate, Hall & Stewart where he was chair of the firm’s Whistleblower Defense and Labor, Employment & Benefits practice groups.
In addition to his experience at private firms, Mr. Keating served two terms as a management representative on the Department of Labor’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee, a committee created to better enable OSHA to perform its duties and help to improve the fairness, efficiency, and transparency of OSHA’s whistleblower investigations. In 2014, Mr. Keating testified on whistleblower protections before the U.S. Senate.
Mr. Keating’s practice also includes high stakes employment litigation, defense of wage and hour class and collective actions, investigations into allegations of sexual harassment, and disputes involving non-competition, employee raiding, and employment discrimination.
“I look forward to joining a firm of top notch employment and employee benefits attorneys with a national footprint, as well as working with the esteemed group of healthcare attorneys who recently joined EBG in Boston, as I also represent several healthcare clients in Massachusetts and nationally,” said Mr. Keating. “I am excited to couple my experience with my new colleagues for the benefit of our clients who now more than ever are seeking counsel from experienced legal advisors.” Mr. Keating added that he also “looks forward to offering global workforce solutions through the firm’s groundbreaking alliance with Deloitte Legal.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Greg to our practice and our growing Boston office,” said David W. Garland, Chair of the firm’s National Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Steering Committee. “As we look at adding leading practitioners to our team and highly skilled lawyers with shared values, Greg fits that profile perfectly. Not only does Greg have deep roots in the Boston community, but his work is also recognized nationally and will attract others to the firm,” Garland added.
EBG recently added a group of health care and life sciences attorneys in Boston and continues to add attorneys in the firm’s core practice areas of health care and life sciences, labor and employment, and litigation.
